This is the last
will and testament of me
Thomas
Cogger
of
Merton
Bridge
in the Parish of Wimbledon in the
county
of
Surrey
Blacksmith. I give
unto John Parrot
of Mitcham in the county aforesaid Surgeon all my Estates Real of
Personal whatsoever and wheresoever in trust for the purposes
hereinafter mentioned that is to say I desire my said Executor will give
unto my wife Ann Cogger my freehold estate situate at Upper Tooting in the parish
of Streatham and also a certain share of a freehold
estate of which I own likewise situate in the parish of Thames
Di
tton
where both estates are in the county aforesaid also the Lease of the
dwelling house and premises now occupied by me together with my
Household goods Stock in Trade and wearing apparel subject nevertheless
to the payment of the sum of one hundred pounds which I desire my said
executor will give to my Son
John and subject to the further payment of the losses, costs
charges damages and expenses to which my said Executor may become liable
in consequence of his executing this my last Will and Testament.
I also desire that the Sum of one hundred pounds may be given my Son
Thomas Cogger which said Sum is now due and owing to me from Edmund Terry of Upper Tooting in the Parish of
Streatham aforesaid Blacksmith and which I request my said Ex’or will
receive from the said Edmund Terry as soon as my be convenient after my
decease and pay into the hands of my said Son Thomas.
I also desire that the Sum of one hundred pounds may be given to
my Daughter Sophia
now Sophia Leppard and the like Sum to my Daughter Hannah now Hannah Leppard which said Sum
or Sums are now due and owing to me from William Smart of Lower Tooting in the County
aforesaid Taylor and which I also request my Executor will receive as
soon after my decease as he conveniently can and pay the same into the
hands of my Daughters aforesaid. As to all the Rest Residue and
Remainder of my estate whether Real of Personal after payment of my Just
Debts funeral expenses and the charges of proving this my last Will and
Testament I desire that the same may be given to my said wife Ann
Cogger for her sole use and benefit.
In witness whereof I the Testator have hereunto set my hand and
Seal thirteenth day of September in the Year of Our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and two.
