The following extract from the Sexton's Notebooks held at Wigan Archive points to a connection with the Bancks family of Wigan:

1790 August 21st Mrs Jane Banks from Warrington, Old Clerk's daughter by law. She lies close to her husband Thomas Banks Stationer he lies close to the pillar and she lies close to him the pillar projects a great way out I think the outside of her coffin corner nearly as far out as aisle of pews We had a great deal of trouble with this grave and it will hold 2 or 3 more.

Thomas Bancks' brother William was a stationer in Wigan and Gerard Bancks (father of William and Thomas) was the old clerk. The names Clement, Isabel and Gerard occur in the previous generation of Wigan Banckses.
The 1791 Universal Trade Directory lists Isabella Bancks as a stationer in Warrington.
