Antecedents of Thomas COGGER ?


Data from Kent Archives

We have examined Manorial records, Parish registers and Church wardens' accounts.  The condition of some of these together with the combination of old English script and Latin used in the Manorial records them has at this point brought us to a halt.  From the tantalising glimpses we have seen through the fog, it appears that there were COGGERS in the Wrotham area at least as early as the 15th century and several generations of these had the Christian name "Thomas".  Set out below is the information we gleaned from the Kent Archive in April 2007:
